As the Head of Distribution Channel, Retail Banking, you will lead regional business planning, set performance benchmarks, oversee operational activities and ensure alignment with the Bank’s overarching strategies. Additionally, you will focus on performance oversight, stakeholder relations and people development to enhance the Retail Banking sector's success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies to increase market presence and optimise distribution for new revenue generation.
- Manage the Bank's interactions with stakeholders, branches and sales channels to meet business objectives.
- Collaborate, communicate business targets and conduct regular reviews to Regional Directors of the Bank.
- Support stakeholders and branches with new product introductions, updates and campaigns.
- Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, procedures and applicable laws.
- Monitor local market dynamics and address potential challenges/opportunities proactively.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal policy requirements, particularly those from Bank Negara Malaysia.
- Act as the Bank's representative at community functions and industry events.
To excel in this role, prior leadership experience within retail banking is essential.
Key Requirements:
- Over 15 years of experience in retail banking, with expertise in distribution strategy and client relationship management.
- Graduate degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
- Comprehensive understanding of retail banking landscape and Malaysian regulatory requirements.
- Capable of engaging with individuals at all organisational levels.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric approach.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, self-motivation and results-driven attitude.
- Advanced stakeholder management skills, capable of interacting with regulators, government bodies and authorities.
