Manager, Strategy (Financial Services)

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager for their Strategy department within the Financial Services sector.

his role is based in Kuala Lumpur and offers an exciting opportunity to identify business growth opportunities and devise strategic initiatives within the retail banking space and SME segments. The successful candidate will work closely with various business units to improve customer experience, increase process efficiencies, and enhance productivity. This role also involves facilitating the development and execution of regional strategies, managing performance indicators, and overseeing project management.

What you'll do:

As a Manager, Strategy (Financial Services), your role will be pivotal in driving the strategic direction of our client's operations within the retail banking space and SME segments.

• Identify business growth opportunities within the retail banking space and SME segments
• Develop value propositions to improve customer experience and increase process efficiencies
• Facilitate deep dive diagnostics on areas of concern for markets beyond Malaysia
• Devise presentation materials for senior management team discussions
• Assist in the development of short term and long term strategic growth plans
• Produce monthly performance reports for Group EXCO and Board of Directors discussion
• Run cross-functional working team meetings focusing on design and execution of key initiatives
• Monitor and analyse project schedule, cost, and resource planning to ensure projects are completed on time

The ideal candidate for this Manager, Strategy (Financial Services) role brings a wealth of experience from the consultancy or financial services industry.

• Degree in Business Admin/ Economics/ Accounting or any relevant fields
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in consultancy or financial services industry
• Strong financial analytics and planning skills
• Advanced Excel and Power Point skills
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate at all levels
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
