Senior Analyst - Actuarial Data, Automation and AI

A leading organisation in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Analyst specialising in Actuarial Data, Automation, and Artificial Intelligence to join their forward-thinking team. What you'll do:

As a Senior Analyst Actuarial Data Automation and Artificial Intelligence based in Kuala Lumpur, you will immerse yourself in transformative projects that redefine how actuarial reporting is conducted. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and AI integration within actuarial processes.

• Identify business use cases for automation and AI within actuarial functions and prepare comprehensive business requirements in collaboration with various actuarial teams.
• Participate actively in solutioning activities including option analysis, test approach design, test case development, data preparation, and user acceptance testing validation.
• Manage complex datasets and perform advanced data analytics on actuarial domains such as persistency and claims to generate valuable insights for management decisions and experience monitoring.
• Develop robust tools, organise data structures efficiently, and build reusable analytics pipelines that support scalable reporting solutions.
• Collaborate with enterprise data and technology teams to enhance data availability, lineage tracking, definitions clarity, and documentation quality for well-governed actuarial use cases
• Assist in identifying relevant AI use cases for actuarial reporting and management information (MI), supporting both pilot projects and scaled solution delivery
• Embed rigorous data validation procedures, governance frameworks, and quality standards into end-to-end process flows to ensure reliable outcomes

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Analyst Actuarial Data Automation and Artificial Intelligence role brings proven experience from either an Actuarial reporting or business intelligence/data analytics background within financial services. Your deep understanding of process transformation enables you to embed rigorous validation standards throughout automated workflows. Your academic credentials underpin your technical expertise with tools like Python, SQL, Power BI as well as statistical modelling approaches. Experience implementing AI solutions or managing large datasets further enhances your suitability for this role.
