The organisation values flexibility, professional growth, and knowledge sharing, providing you with the platform to expand your skills while working alongside knowledgeable colleagues on high-impact projects. If you are passionate about making a difference in a supportive environment that encourages collaboration and continuous learning, this role is designed for you.

* Enjoy a highly competitive salary package ranging from RM216,000 to RM240,000 per annum while working at the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s thriving business district.
* Gain invaluable exposure by collaborating with multiple business units across various sectors and international tax jurisdictions including Malaysia, Singapore, the United Kingdom, Australia, the Netherlands, Thailand, and Vietnam.
* Benefit from flexible working opportunities and ongoing training initiatives that support your professional development within one of Malaysia’s most respected multinationals.

What you'll do:

As a Tax Manager based in Kuala Lumpur, you will be instrumental in driving the organisation’s tax strategy across multiple industries and countries. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve partnering with key business units to manage complex transfer pricing files while ensuring strict adherence to both local and international guidelines. You will act as a dependable advisor on intricate tax matters—ranging from indirect taxes to group-wide policy implementation—while supporting teams through audits and regulatory changes. By participating in major projects like BEPS implementation and advising on new jurisdictional requirements, you will help shape the company’s approach to global taxation. Success in this role requires exceptional communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement as well as strong project management abilities to coordinate deliverables across diverse teams. Your efforts will not only safeguard compliance but also drive strategic improvements throughout the organisation’s extensive network.

* Collaborate closely with business divisions such as utilities, power generation, cement manufacturing, and hotels to prepare or oversee the preparation of local transfer pricing documentation in accordance with OECD and Inland Revenue Board guidelines.
* Coordinate effectively with local finance teams and external advisors to ensure timely and accurate completion of all tax-related deliverables.
* Provide comprehensive tax technical support for transactions involving transfer pricing policies as well as indirect tax, withholding tax, and Malaysian corporate tax matters.
* Support business units during tax audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to queries from regulatory authorities.
* Keep all divisions informed about the latest developments in domestic and international tax regulations that may impact their operations.
* Participate actively in group-wide tax projects including the implementation of OECD’s Base Erosion Profit Shifting (BEPS) initiatives and other relevant national or international projects.
* Shape and implement robust group tax policies, control environments, and governance frameworks to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
* Advise on changes required for various divisions’ tax operating models based on evolving regulatory requirements across different jurisdictions.
* Facilitate cross-functional teamwork by managing relationships between internal stakeholders and external service providers for seamless project execution.

What you bring:

To excel as a Tax Manager in this prominent organisation, you will bring substantial hands-on experience navigating complex corporate or international tax environments—ideally gained within Big 4 firms or large multinational companies. Your background should include significant exposure to transfer pricing documentation under OECD guidelines as well as involvement in group-wide policy development. A track record of successful project coordination across multiple teams is essential; your ability to communicate clearly ensures smooth collaboration even when managing competing priorities. Professional qualifications such as ACCA or CTIM underscore your technical proficiency while your understanding of financial reporting adds further value. Above all else, your empathetic leadership style fosters trust among colleagues—enabling everyone around you to thrive together.

* Demonstrated project management skills with proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams including finance departments, operational staff, and external advisors for timely delivery of complex assignments.
* Excellent interpersonal skills that enable you to build trusting relationships at all organisational levels while fostering a collaborative work environment.
* Experience managing people with a nurturing approach that supports both individual growth and collective achievement within your team.
* Proactive mindset combined with initiative-taking abilities that allow you to identify challenges early and develop practical solutions tailored to business needs.
* Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills complemented by confident presentation abilities suitable for diverse audiences.
* Solid understanding of financial reporting standards, accounting principles, or group consolidation processes which would be advantageous for this position.
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Taxation, Law or related fields from recognised universities demonstrating your academic foundation in relevant disciplines.
* Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, ICAEW, CPA or MICPA or a recognised tax qualification like CTIM reflecting your commitment to professional excellence.
* Minimum six years’ experience working in corporate or international tax functions within Big 4 firms or multinational corporations; candidates with equivalent audit experience are also encouraged to apply.
