You will play a vital part in assisting the tax manager with a wide range of responsibilities, from preparing statutory disclosures to overseeing group tax reporting processes. The organisation values your commitment to teamwork, attention to detail, and ability to communicate effectively across departments. With flexible working opportunities and a focus on professional development, this position offers you the chance to grow your expertise while contributing meaningfully to the company’s ongoing success. * Play an integral role in supporting the tax manager with all aspects of corporate tax compliance and reporting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations. * Benefit from flexible working hour opportunities and a culture that encourages knowledge sharing, collaboration, and continuous learning. * Join a dependable team where your interpersonal skills and commitment to excellence are valued, with opportunities for professional growth and training.

What you'll do:

As a Tax Executive Corporate Tax based in Kuala Lumpur, you will be at the heart of the organisation’s efforts to maintain robust compliance standards while supporting business objectives. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating closely with the tax manager on a variety of tasks that span from preparing statutory disclosures to managing group-wide tax reporting schedules. You will be responsible for gathering critical financial data, estimating profitability forecasts for interim payments, and ensuring all filings are completed accurately and on time. Your role will also see you conducting detailed reviews of related party transactions to uphold transfer pricing policies, performing regular health checks on existing processes, and suggesting improvements where needed. In addition to these core duties, you will act as a key point of contact with external stakeholders such as auditors and tax authorities—handling queries, audits, investigations, applications, or appeals with professionalism. Your ability to research complex issues across multiple jurisdictions will further enhance your contribution to the team’s success.

  • Assist the tax manager in all areas of corporate tax by providing reliable support on daily tasks and long-term projects.
  • Ensure full legal, regulatory, and tax compliance for the group by keeping up-to-date with relevant legislation and best practices.
  • Prepare accurate tax provisions for the group, compiling necessary information for statutory disclosures and coordinating completion of required documentation.
  • Oversee the group’s tax reporting process by organising deliverables, managing timetables with external tax agents and auditors, and ensuring timely submissions.
  • Estimate forecast profitability to support interim tax payment calculations, using analytical skills to provide well-founded projections.
  • Prepare withholding tax clearances as well as other ad hoc filings required by authorities, maintaining meticulous records throughout each process.
  • Conduct historical reviews of related party transactions within the group to ensure strict compliance with transfer pricing policies.
  • Continuously perform comprehensive tax health checks for the group, identifying areas for improvement and proposing practical initiatives.
  • Liaise with tax authorities regarding audits, investigations, applications, and appeals on all matters relating to taxation.
  • Assist in research and analysis of complex tax issues both within Malaysia and internationally as delegated by management.

What you bring:

To excel as a Tax Executive Corporate Tax in this organisation, you will bring not only technical expertise but also a genuine enthusiasm for working collaboratively within a supportive team environment. Your background should include hands-on experience gained from at least one year in a professional tax setting where you have honed your understanding of corporate taxation principles. Academic qualifications in finance-related disciplines will underpin your ability to navigate complex regulatory requirements confidently. Your interpersonal skills will be essential when communicating findings or recommendations both internally among colleagues and externally with auditors or government officials. A keen eye for detail ensures that every report you prepare meets exacting standards while your analytical mindset allows you to interpret financial data effectively—whether forecasting profits or reviewing related party transactions. Above all else, your sense of responsibility means you approach every task with integrity; always striving for accuracy even when faced with challenging deadlines.

  • Possess at least 1-2 years’ experience working in a professional tax firm or similar environment where you have developed strong technical knowledge of corporate taxation.
  • Hold a Professional Certificate, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Banking or an equivalent field relevant to this position.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills that enable you to work collaboratively within teams as well as liaise effectively with external parties such as auditors or authorities.
  • Show high levels of integrity in handling sensitive financial information while maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Display meticulous attention to detail when preparing reports or reviewing documentation so that errors are minimised and compliance is assured.
  • Exhibit strong analytical abilities that allow you to interpret complex data sets accurately for forecasting purposes or when conducting transaction reviews.
  • Remain calm under pressure by meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality or accuracy in your work output.
  • Be committed to being a dependable team player who supports colleagues through open communication and shared goals.
  • Have proven experience carrying out research into local Malaysian taxation issues as well as those affecting other jurisdictions if required by management.
