A leading global manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Costing Executive to join their team in Bandar Enstek, Negeri Sembilan. This role offers you the opportunity to play a pivotal part in supporting end-to-end costing and inventory activities within Malaysia plant operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all financial processes. \

What you'll do:

• Oversee period-end costing activities to ensure timely closure in SAP according to agreed schedules, maintaining accuracy throughout the process.
• Update both Entity and Group costing information while preparing recurring and ad hoc reports that facilitate monthly reviews and analyses by corporate stakeholders and external auditors.
• Analyse cost impacts and maintain standard costs for new items or revisions on existing items within SAP, ensuring all changes reflect current market conditions.
• Prepare detailed costing analyses for material price changes resulting from fluctuations in foreign exchange rates, providing valuable insights for decision-making.
• Monitor Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing processes closely while liaising with operations teams to ensure accurate data flow between departments.
• Generate comprehensive manufacturing-related reports such as variance analysis and manufacturing expenses comparisons between actuals versus budgeted figures.
• Conduct cost and margin analyses by products, models, or customers to support strategic planning and profitability assessments.
• Evaluate intercompany and interregional pricing structures as well as net structural savings to optimise financial outcomes across the organisation.
• Support monthly inventory provision calculations including slow-moving provisions based on established accounting policies, ensuring compliance at all times.
• Participate actively in warehouse stock count processes as the finance counterpart; review stock count controls thoroughly and follow up on any variances identified during counts.

What you bring:

• Degree in Accounting or Finance or a related field is essential for this role as it provides the foundational knowledge required for complex costing tasks.
• Proven work experience in a manufacturing environment specifically within a costing function is mandatory to ensure familiarity with industry-specific challenges.
• Fluency in English both written and spoken is crucial for effective communication across multicultural teams and accurate report preparation.
• Advanced Excel skills are necessary for handling large datasets efficiently and producing detailed financial analyses.
• Experience using SAP is highly desirable as it enables seamless integration with existing systems for period-end closures and cost updates.
