Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing complex accounting tasks using Oracle systems, maintaining rigorous internal controls, preparing detailed reconciliations, posting journal entries with accuracy, and supporting both month-end and year-end closing activities. You will also be responsible for analysing transactions to ensure compliance with relevant standards while collaborating with colleagues from different backgrounds. Your ability to communicate effectively with both local and foreign finance teams will be essential as you work together to resolve issues promptly. Additionally, you will contribute to process improvements by participating in IT testing initiatives and sharing your expertise with new team members. Success in this role requires not only technical proficiency but also a genuine commitment to teamwork, continuous learning, and delivering high-quality results.

  • Support key accounting operations such as Fixed Assets, General Ledger, and Accounts Receivable for various global regions through Oracle R12 and Cloud systems.
  • Record fixed asset acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and miscellaneous activities in compliance with company policies, US GAAP, and local statutory requirements.
  • Prepare timely reconciliations between subledgers and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Post journal entries related to bank transactions, accruals, prepayments, salaries, and expense accounts with precision and adherence to deadlines.
  • Schedule monthly balance sheet reconciliations and upload documentation into the One Stream system for review.
  • Process customer receipts efficiently by raising debit or credit memos accurately and within prescribed timeframes.
  • Conduct banking reconciliations, generate monthly summary reports, and proactively clear customer aging balances as required.
  • Execute month-end closing activities for Fixed Assets, General Ledger, and Accounts Receivable while following established internal control policies.
  • Analyse accounting transactions for reasonableness and prepare supporting documentation for internal audits or management reviews.
  • Collaborate closely with team leads on IT testing initiatives and process improvement projects while providing guidance to new team members.

  • A minimum of 3.5 years’ relevant experience in finance or accounting roles within a shared services environment is essential for success in this position.
  • Possession of at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field is required.
