What you'll do:

As a Business Services Payroll Consultant based in Livingston, Penang, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of accurate payroll services for multiple clients spanning various industries and countries. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve handling sensitive salary information with utmost confidentiality, processing onboarding and offboarding tasks efficiently for new joiners or leavers—including insurance registrations—and responding to client queries with empathy and professionalism. You will be entrusted with reviewing documentation prepared by colleagues to ensure accuracy before submission. By participating in process documentation efforts and engaging in regular knowledge sharing sessions, you will help drive improvements within the team. Success in this role requires balancing multiple portfolios under strict deadlines while maintaining high standards of service.   • Receive salary information from clients, input data into payroll systems accurately, and calculate payroll within established timelines to ensure timely delivery.
  • Collect new joiner and leaver information while completing onboarding and offboarding processes including insurance registration or deregistration and submission to relevant authorities.
  • Respond promptly to client queries regarding all payroll and benefits processes within agreed target timelines, maintaining high standards of customer service.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all payroll data, records, and reports to uphold trust and compliance.
  • Ensure filing and recordkeeping of employee files and data are compliant with applicable regulations across different jurisdictions.
  • Review calculation results, email drafts, insurance registration documents, and other materials prepared by colleagues to ensure quality control.
  • Assist in documenting payroll processes and standard operating procedures to promote consistent service delivery across the team.
  • Participate actively in knowledge sharing sessions, process improvement initiatives, and system enhancement activities to contribute to continuous improvement.
