What you'll do:

In the capacity of Accountant within this prestigious Kuala Lumpur-based organisation, you will assume a central role in orchestrating the entirety of the financial reporting function.

• Oversee full financial reporting, including consolidated group accounts and statutory reports, ensuring compliance with MFRS; liaise with auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries.

• Prepare financial analysis, budgeting, and profit and cash flow forecasts to support management decision-making.

• Lead and supervise the accounts team, provide guidance on finance, accounting, and tax matters, and conduct performance reviews and staff development.

• Ensure compliance with all tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements, and maintain strong internal controls, policies, and procedures.

What you bring:

To excel as an Accountant in this distinguished role based in Kuala Lumpur, you will bring not only formal academic credentials but also substantial practical experience acquired from prior appointments within reputable accounting or auditing firms. Your background should reflect direct involvement in preparing consolidated group accounts under MFRS standards as well as exposure to statutory reporting imperatives.

• Possession of a recognised degree in Accounting or an equivalent professional qualification such as ACCA or CPA is requisite for this appointment.
• A minimum of five years’ experience within an accounting or auditing environment is essential to ensure familiarity with industry best practices.
• Demonstrable expertise in preparing consolidated group accounts as well as statutory reports under MFRS guidelines is highly advantageous.
• Comprehensive technical knowledge of accounting principles coupled with advanced analytical capabilities enables effective resolution of complex scenarios.
• Experience engaging with auditors, tax agents, or company secretaries provides valuable insight into managing external stakeholder relationships.
