Senior Accountant

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key part in managing financial reporting from various business units, reviewing and performing analysis of these units, and coordinating information flow between Group Finance and the subsidiaries. The successful candidate will have the chance to work closely with finance departments across the organisation, promoting consistency and alignment of processes. What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Senior Accountant position brings a wealth of experience in finance and accounting. You possess a professional qualification from an internationally accepted accounting body or hold a Degree in Accounting. With at least 5 years' relevant working experience under your belt, you have honed your skills in managing financial reporting from various business units. Your strong understanding and relevant experience of the oil & gas upstream (E&P) industry sets you apart. Your experience in M&A, auditing, and corporate finance will be invaluable in this role. You understand the requirements of a public listed environment in Malaysia and are able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Professional qualification from an internationally accepted accounting body or Degree in Accounting
At least 5 years relevant working experience, with a minimum 3 years’ experience in management role
Strong understanding and relevant experience of the oil & gas upstream (E&P) industry
Experience in M&A, including due diligence scope
Experience in auditing and corporate finance
Understanding of requirements of public listed environment in Malaysia
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Detail oriented with hands-on approach in preparation of deliverables
