What you'll do:
- Monitor and track project costs and budgets across assigned hospital construction and development projects, proactively identifying financial risks and variances to ensure timely intervention.
- Partner with project directors, construction teams, doctors, and operations staff to align financial expectations and facilitate collaborative decision-making throughout each stage of the project lifecycle.
- Provide dedicated financial partnering support to a priority hospital development project, overseeing cost governance and reporting through to successful operational handover.
- Manage expectations of diverse stakeholders—including project teams, operations personnel, and corporate finance—by communicating financial matters clearly and promptly.
- Support the transition of projects from construction phase to operational finance as hospitals go live, ensuring continuity of financial controls and smooth handover processes.
- Prepare and process intercompany billing and backcharges related to project costs and cross-entity arrangements, handling administrative duties efficiently as required.
- Compile periodic cost and financial reports for executive leadership including the CFO and project heads, delivering insights that inform strategic decisions.
- Ensure robust financial controls and governance are established and adhered to across all assigned projects, maintaining compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Actively participate in developing and refining group policies and procedures to enhance internal control frameworks and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Undertake special assignments or projects as requested by executive leadership, demonstrating flexibility in responding to organisational needs.
What you bring:
- Professionally qualified accountant (ACCA / CPA / CIMA or equivalent) with proven credentials in finance business partnering roles involving both capital-projects and operational finance contexts.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in finance business partnering within large-scale construction or healthcare environments; prior exposure to Big 4 accounting firms is highly valued.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management across complex project settings involving multidisciplinary teams such as construction professionals, medical staff, operations leaders, and corporate executives.
- Acute commercial sense combined with strong cost governance acumen; able to balance strategic orientation with meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of financial management.
- Exceptional communication skills enabling you to convey complex financial matters clearly across diverse audiences; adept at facilitating meetings and driving discussions among multifunctional teams.
- Proficiency in preparing comprehensive financial reports for executive leadership; familiarity with Oracle Fusion systems is advantageous.
- Ability to manage intercompany billing processes efficiently while handling administrative tasks related to cross-entity arrangements within large organisations.
- Experience supporting transitions from construction phase into operational finance contexts within healthcare settings; MBA qualification would be an added advantage.
- Capacity for multi-tasking under tight deadlines while problem-solving in fast-paced project environments; able to operate independently with great accuracy and ownership.
