What you'll do:

As Financial Controller based in Selangor, you will be entrusted with overseeing all aspects of finance administration from strategic forecasting to daily cash management. Your role will involve collaborating closely with senior leaders across departments—Sales & Marketing as well as Factory Operations—to ensure seamless integration of financial strategies into broader business goals. You will champion cost optimisation initiatives while maintaining rigorous compliance standards in reporting, auditing, taxation, procurement processes, legal matters, budgeting activities, stakeholder relations management, corporate governance practices, risk assessment procedures—and more. Success in this position requires not only technical proficiency but also a nurturing approach towards team development; you will coach direct reports such as Senior Manager – Finance, Purchasing Officer, Management Accountant—ensuring they are empowered through training opportunities. By fostering an inclusive culture rooted in ethical conduct and high performance expectations you will help drive sustainable growth for the organisation.

  • Forecast and strategise future business growth by exploring new ventures, innovative ways of working, and potential partnerships through comprehensive financial evaluations and planning.

  • Oversee cash management functions such as cash concentration, cash flow analysis, and account funding to guarantee adequate liquidity for operational needs.
  • Lead procurement activities by ensuring cost optimisation is achieved while maintaining accuracy in item selection and timely delivery of goods or services.
  • Direct legal functions within the organisation to ensure all relevant legislations are adhered to effectively.
  • Develop, monitor, and control financial budgets and costs for efficient utilisation of approved resources across departments.
  • Oversee consolidated financial statements preparation as well as accounting operations and regulatory announcements ensuring adherence to deadlines set by authorities.
  • Evaluate both financial and non-financial reports regularly to devise improvement solutions while assessing management operations and risk analysis for Board reporting.
  • Initiate cost optimisation activities across manpower, systems/equipment/processes, and budget with the aim of achieving prudent resource utilisation during operations.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with major stakeholders including shareholders, clients, customers, external organisations, government agencies, industry associations, and corporations locally and regionally.
  • Foster a culture that promotes ethical practices and encourages individual integrity in line with group code of conduct policies.

Your academic credentials include a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance complemented by professional qualifications recognised by MIA; those holding a Master’s Degree will find additional opportunities for advancement.   • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent) is required for this position along with a professional accounting qualification such as MICPA/ACCA/ICAEW plus membership with MIA (Malaysian Institute of Accountants).
  • A Master’s Degree is considered an added advantage for candidates seeking further career progression within the organisation.
  • You should possess at least 15 years of relevant experience preferably including tenure at a public accounting firm (Big Four) or multinational corporation (MNC).
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior management position is essential demonstrating your ability to deliver outstanding results through collaborative leadership.
