Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join their team. What you'll do:

As a Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and implementing the full scope of accounting and finance functions. You will ensure that all policies and procedures are consistent with regulations, governmental guidelines, thus contributing to the realisation of the objectives and strategies of the company. Your role will involve managing financial services advisory, reporting, leading financial planning activities, promoting improvements in business performance through periodical assessments of business exposures. You will also be responsible for reviewing periodic financial reports, evaluating finance systems, planning and managing banking facilities. Furthermore, you will enforce project and asset accounting policies compliance while providing advice and support to overseas business operations.

• Establish and implement the full scope of accounting and finance functions, trade financing, planning, systems and procedures.
• Ensure consistent policies and procedures in line with all regulations.
• Manage financial services advisory and reporting.
• Lead financial planning activities.
• Promote improvement in business performance through periodical assessment of business exposures.
• Review and analyse periodic financial reports.
• Evaluate finance system (General Ledger, Taxation, Account Management) and work procedures manual.
• Plan and manage banking facilities.
• Enforce project and asset accounting policies compliance.
• Provide advice and support to overseas business operations.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Financial Controller position brings a wealth of experience in finance management roles. You possess at least a Degree in Finance/Accounting or relevant business studies along with professional qualifications such as ACCA, MICPA or CPA equivalent. With at least ten years of working experience under your belt, including eight years in a general/senior management capacity, you have proven experience as a CFO, Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager. Your excellent analytical mind and problem-solving skills set you apart, and your interpersonal skills are second to none. You command both Bahasa Malaysia and English fluently, with Mandarin being a distinct advantage for regional business requirements. Lastly, you have an in-depth understanding of the approved Accounting Standards.

• Degree in Finance/Accounting or relevant business studies.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, MICPA or CPA equivalent.
• At least ten years of working experience with eight years relevant experience in general/senior management capacity.
• Proven experience as CFO / Financial Controller / Senior Finance Manager.
• Excellent analytical mind with problem-solving skills.
• Good interpersonal skills with an excellent attitude.
• Command over both Bahasa Malaysia and English. Conversing and writing in Mandarin is a distinct advantage for regional business requirements.
• In-depth understanding of the approved Accounting Standards.
