Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to lead their accounting functions. Asides to managing the full spectrum of accounting task, the successful candidate will drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes and systems while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

What you'll do:
As a Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing all aspects of our client's accounting functions.
- Manage the full spectrum of accounting functions including closing, reporting, financial operations, budgeting and forecasting.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes, controls and systems.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Swiftly resolve financial issues or discrepancies, minimizing delays or disruptions to operations.
- Work closely with senior leaders, providing clear and actionable financial data to inform strategic decision making.
- Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiency improvements.
- Provide mentorship, training and leadership to the finance and accounting team.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Financial Controller position brings a wealth of experience from working in a Big 4 audit firm and retail sector. This role requires a proactive problem-solver who can swiftly resolve financial issues or discrepancies, minimising disruptions to operations.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or related field or Professional Qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW) preferred.
- Minimum 12 years of working experience in Big 4 audit firm and public listed company.
- Knowledge of SAP would be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
