What you'll do:

• Ensure all General Ledger transactions and journal entries are recorded accurately, timely, and in compliance with group accounting policies as well as local statutory requirements.
• Maintain complete and proper accounting records, supporting documents, and audit trails in line with document retention policy standards.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities within the group reporting timetable, collaborating closely with operations teams and other stakeholders.
• Recommend improvements to strengthen accuracy, efficiency, and compliance through standardisation, simplification, and automation of GL processes.
• Coordinate and manage the accounting closing process with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, intercompany stakeholders, and relevant teams.
• Prepare local statutory financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support statutory, internal, and group audits by preparing audit schedules and responding promptly to auditors’ queries.
• Prepare tax computations, corporate tax filings, withholding tax submissions, and liaise with tax agents for statutory compliance.
• Implement new or revised accounting policies, chart of accounts changes, and reporting requirements in local books following global updates.
• Participate in global and regional finance projects including system enhancements, process migrations, testing, and post-implementation reviews.

What you bring:

• Minimum Degree in Accounting or Finance or a professional qualification such as ACCA/CPA/CIMA or equivalent is required for this position.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience within multinational corporations or audit environments is essential for success.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office software—especially Excel—and PowerPoint is necessary for effective reporting.
• Knowledge of SAP/SAP One Stream/Blackline tools is highly desirable for seamless integration into existing systems.
• Proficiency in English (written and oral) is mandatory; knowledge of Mandarin is considered an added advantage.
• Excellent communication skills paired with strong follow-up abilities are vital for interacting with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Responsible, accountable attitude combined with meticulous attention to detail ensures reliable financial records.
• Initiative-taking approach enables you to resolve issues independently while maintaining compliance standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively as a dependable team player across various departments enhances overall performance.
• Experience preparing transfer pricing documentation or supporting tax audits demonstrates comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements.
