Senior Finance Executive

Our client is seeking a Senior Finance Executive to join their team in Kuala Lumpur. This role offers an exciting opportunity to take on daily finance reporting tasks, handle tax returns, and manage intercompany transactions. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing month-end closing journals, weekly and ad hoc journals, and supporting schedules for month-end closing and reporting. What you'll do:

As a Senior Finance Executive, you'll play a crucial role in managing the company's finances. Your responsibilities will include everything from daily finance reporting tasks to preparing balance sheet schedules for closing and reporting. You'll also assist with tax returns, handle intercompany transactions, and monitor the Fixed Asset Register. This role requires a high level of responsibility, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently. • Handle daily finance reporting tasks
• Prepare month-end closing journals
• Create weekly and ad hoc journals
• Develop supporting schedules for month-end closing and reporting
• Manage cost allocation, margin allocation and Branch PL
• Assist in handling monthly Tax return and Withholding Tax
• Prepare Month end interco transaction & reconciliation
• Create Balance sheet schedules for closing and reporting
• Monitor Fixed Asset Register – ensure additions, disposal and write off processed on timely basis
• Handle yearly tax request

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Senior Finance Executive position will have a degree in Accounting or an equivalent qualification. You should have at least 2-4 years of relevant experience in financial accounting. A responsible attitude, maturity, and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this role. You should also have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Dedication to meeting deadlines is crucial, as is computer literacy in MS Office Excel and Word.
