Assistant Manager, Consolidation
About the Role We are looking for a Consolidation Assistant Manager to support the Group Finance function in managing group consolidation, financial reporting and month-end closing activities. The role will work closely with subsidiaries and overseas entities to ensure timely and accurate consolidated financial information for management reporting and statutory purposes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in group consolidation and financial reporting, with the ability to communicate effectively in Mandarin, both spoken and written, as the role will work closely with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual group consolidation and consolidated financial statements.

Consolidate financial results from subsidiaries, overseas entities, joint ventures and associates.

Review consolidation schedules, intercompany balances and transactions, including intercompany eliminations and reconciliations.

Perform consolidation adjustments relating to foreign currency translation, non-controlling interests, goodwill and other consolidation entries.

Review financial reporting packages submitted by subsidiaries and ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with Group reporting requirements.

Support the preparation of management reports, financial analysis and variance analysis for senior management.

Coordinate with subsidiaries and business units to resolve reporting and consolidation issues.

Assist with the preparation of statutory financial statements and support external and internal audit requirements.

Ensure financial reporting is prepared in accordance with MFRS/IFRS and relevant accounting standards.

Support the improvement of group reporting and consolidation processes.

Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requested by management.
Requirements
-
Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.

Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW, MIA or equivalent is an advantage.

5–7 years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience, with hands-on exposure to group consolidation.

Experience handling multiple entities, subsidiaries and/or overseas operations will be an advantage.

Strong understanding of consolidation accounting, intercompany eliminations and group financial reporting.

Good knowledge of MFRS/IFRS and financial reporting requirements.

Experience with ERP systems and consolidation/reporting systems is an advantage.

Mandarin proficiency is mandatory, with the ability to speak, read and write Mandarin to communicate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and review Chinese-language documents.

Good analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Able to work independently while coordinating effectively with different entities and functions.
