What you'll do:

As a Senior Finance Manager based in Selangor, you will be entrusted with overseeing all facets of financial planning and analysis while driving improvements across profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flows. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing budgeting cycles from start to finish—ensuring all submissions are accurate and aligned with organisational goals—and providing critical support during budget discussions. You will collaborate extensively with commercial teams on contract negotiations involving both customers and suppliers. Inventory oversight will require you to maintain rigorous standards for valuation accuracy while supporting reconciliation exercises. In addition to acting as the primary custodian for local treasury operations—including cash management—you will also play an instrumental role in optimising working capital through diligent monitoring of receivables and payables. Project cash flow forecasting will fall under your remit as you work closely with group treasury functions to ensure sufficient liquidity for ongoing commitments. Furthermore, you will be responsible for identifying foreign exchange risks associated with international transactions and implementing effective mitigation strategies. Reporting duties will see you preparing both statutory accounts as well as customised reports tailored to management needs while ensuring strict adherence to internal controls throughout all processes.

• Implement comprehensive financial planning processes and perform detailed financial analysis to identify weaknesses and variances, providing actionable recommendations for improvements in profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow performance.
• Monitor the overall financial health of the business by tracking achievements against budgeted targets and supporting management with timely insights.
• Manage all aspects of budgeting and forecasting by ensuring adherence to group instructions and timelines, critically examining inputs for accuracy and completeness, consolidating information, and participating actively in budget meetings.
• Support business finance matters by assisting managers in making informed decisions regarding profitability analysis, customer payment models, contract terms, and margin analysis for sales transactions.
• Collaborate closely with commercial functions on the financial elements of contracts with customers and suppliers, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
• Oversee inventory management by reviewing equipment ownership classifications, managing inventory valuation in line with group policies, supporting inventory counts, reconciling discrepancies, and liaising with purchasing departments on tax or legal matters as needed.
• Act as custodian of local cash operations by executing treasury activities according to established guidelines while maintaining accurate records within group treasury systems.
• Assist in optimising working capital by monitoring assets, improving liquidity management practices, analysing collection trends, stock turnover rates, minimising transaction costs, maximising interest income where applicable, and repatriating cash when required.
• Lead project cash flow planning efforts by enhancing forecast accuracy, participating in cash pooling initiatives, administering external borrowings or intercompany funding as necessary after alignment with group treasury.
• Proactively assess foreign exchange risks by supporting management’s understanding of FX exposures in business decisions; monitor transactional currency exposure; provide solutions such as hedging strategies to mitigate potential losses.
