Finance Manager (Manufacturing)

What you'll do:
As Finance Manager, you will be entrusted with overseeing every aspect of the finance function for multiple entities within the manufacturing sector. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve preparing comprehensive financial statements independently, coordinating group consolidations, managing statutory audits with renowned Big 4 firms, and ensuring all regulatory requirements are met. You will also guide your team through monthly closings, oversee tax compliance including Transfer Pricing and CbCR matters, and support management on ad-hoc projects. Success in this role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement, and a nurturing approach to team development. - Independently prepare and review full sets of financial statements for multiple entities, ensuring strict compliance with MFRS/IFRS and all relevant financial reporting requirements.
- Lead the group financial consolidation process, producing timely and accurate reports that reflect the organisation’s performance across various jurisdictions.
- Coordinate quarterly financial results, including preparation of detailed financial notes and Bursa announcements for listed entities.
- Manage statutory audits by liaising with Big 4 audit firms in Malaysia, Singapore and Mauritius, ensuring smooth audit processes and comprehensive compliance.
- Oversee the preparation of Annual Reports and related disclosures, maintaining transparency and accuracy in all published materials.
- Monitor monthly closing activities to guarantee prompt completion of management and financial reporting tasks.
- Supervise corporate income tax returns and ensure tax compliance across all relevant entities, including coordination of Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) requirements.
- Oversee Transfer Pricing matters by collaborating with external tax advisors to maintain compliance with international regulations.
- Lead, supervise and manage the Finance Department by reviewing team performance, developing staff capabilities and fostering a collaborative atmosphere.
- Maintain appropriate financial controls, accounting policies and reporting procedures to support organisational integrity.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Finance Manager position will bring proven experience from the manufacturing sector along with recognised professional qualifications such as ACCA. Your background should include extensive hands-on involvement in preparing financial statements independently as well as deep familiarity with MFRS/IFRS standards. Experience managing group consolidations across diverse entities will be invaluable. You should have previously coordinated audits with Big 4 firms, demonstrating your ability to navigate complex regulatory environments. Strong communication skills are essential for engaging stakeholders at all levels while your leadership style should emphasise collaboration, empathy and development within your team. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel will enable you to handle intricate reporting tasks efficiently; exposure to SAP systems will further enhance your effectiveness. - ACCA or equivalent professional accounting qualification is mandatory for this role.
- A minimum of 7–10 years’ relevant experience in accounting and finance within the manufacturing industry is required.
- Hands-on experience in preparing full sets of financial statements independently is essential.
- Strong knowledge of MFRS/IFRS standards and applicable financial reporting requirements is crucial.
- Demonstrated expertise in group consolidation processes across multiple entities is necessary.
- Prior experience managing Big 4 audit firms for statutory audits is highly preferred.
