Assistant Finance Manager

As an Assistant Finance Manager based in Petaling Jaya, you will play a key role in supporting the Shared Service team's operations across Australia and Singapore. You will oversee finance processes, support reporting activities, ensure compliance with internal controls, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to lead a team while working closely with regional stakeholders on a wide range of finance matters.

• Lead the delivery of Shared Service activities, ensuring accurate financial and management reporting for Australia and Singapore entities.
• Supervise Finance Executives and Senior Finance Executives, providing coaching, guidance, and performance support.
• Review payment runs and ensure compliance with delegated authority limits and internal policies.
• Coordinate month-end closing activities and ensure timely completion of reporting requirements.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all items are completed accurately and within deadlines.
• Drive process improvement and system automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders on tax-related matters and support compliance requirements.
• Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the wider organisation.
• Support additional projects and initiatives assigned by management.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate will possess a strong accounting foundation, experience within a shared services environment, and a proactive mindset towards process improvement and team leadership.

• Degree in Accounting or professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
• Prior experience within a Shared Services environment is highly preferred.
• Strong command of spoken and written English.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn and take on new challenges.
