What you'll do:
As a Senior Accountant based in Johor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the organisation’s Singapore operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing complex accounting functions for multiple entities, ensuring that all financial activities adhere strictly to local standards. You will collaborate extensively with cross-border teams to deliver accurate reports and statements while maintaining compliance with statutory requirements. Your attention to detail will be crucial when handling GST submissions and liaising with auditors or tax agents. By monitoring cash flow and supporting budgeting efforts, you will help drive financial performance. - Manage the full set of accounts for Singapore entities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end closing activities to ensure accurate financial records.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, management accounts, and financial statements in strict accordance with Singapore accounting requirements and statutory obligations.
- Handle all aspects of Singapore GST reporting and compliance, including the preparation and timely submission of GST returns to relevant authorities.
- Ensure that all accounting records and transactions comply fully with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) as well as other statutory requirements.
- Perform comprehensive bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany reconciliations to maintain integrity of financial data.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities by coordinating with internal teams to meet deadlines and regulatory expectations.
- Liaise effectively with external auditors, tax agents, and other professional advisors regarding Singapore statutory audits and tax matters.
- Support corporate tax computations, statutory reporting processes, and other compliance matters related to Singapore operations.
- Monitor cash flow, budgeting processes, and financial performance metrics where required to support business objectives.
- Work closely with Singapore-based finance and business teams on accounting and reporting matters to foster collaborative solutions.
