This position offers you the unique opportunity to be at the heart of a transformative phase, working closely with senior management and external professional advisers. If you are eager to contribute your expertise in technical accounting, capital markets, and financial operations, this role will allow you to make a meaningful impact while advancing your career. You will enjoy direct involvement in IPO activities, exposure to high-level decision-making, and the chance to help shape finance processes ahead of listing. Flexible working opportunities and generous training support ensure you can grow both personally and professionally as part of a dependable team.

What you'll do:

As Finance Manager based in Kuala Lumpur, you will be entrusted with overseeing the day-to-day operations of the finance department during a critical period of organisational growth. Your responsibilities will span from managing accurate financial reporting to supporting IPO preparation through rigorous due diligence and documentation. You will collaborate extensively with external auditors and professional advisers to ensure compliance with capital market regulations. By strengthening internal controls and refining accounting policies ahead of listing, you will help lay the foundation for sustainable success. Your role also involves preparing insightful management reports for senior leaders, monitoring closing activities at month-end and year-end, assisting with cash flow planning, budgeting initiatives, and identifying ways to enhance efficiency across finance functions. Guiding your team through these activities will be essential as you share your expertise while supporting business initiatives that drive progress.

  • Lead daily finance and accounting operations by ensuring all financial reporting is accurate, timely, and compliant with regulatory standards.
  • Support the organisation throughout its IPO preparation and listing process by managing financial due diligence, reporting requirements, and documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with external auditors, reporting accountants, tax advisers, and other professional advisers on IPO-related matters to ensure seamless communication and execution.
  • Ensure that all financial statements and reports are prepared according to relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements for capital market readiness.
  • Strengthen financial controls, accounting policies, and processes in anticipation of the company’s public listing by identifying areas for improvement.
  • Prepare management reports, budgets, forecasts, and detailed financial analysis for senior management to facilitate informed business decisions.
  • Review month-end and year-end closing activities thoroughly to maintain accuracy in financial records and compliance with internal controls.
  • Assist with cash flow management, budgeting processes, and long-term financial planning to support business growth objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for improving finance processes, controls, and reporting efficiency by leveraging your technical expertise.
  • Provide guidance to the finance team members to ensure effective execution of finance activities while supporting senior management on ad hoc financial analysis.

  • Excellent communication skills are needed for stakeholder management including auditors, advisers, senior executives and team members.
  • Hands-on approach combined with proactive problem-solving abilities ensures you can adapt quickly within a fast-growing organisation.
