Senior Finance Manager
The Senior Manager, Finance plays a key leadership role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial reporting across multiple entities in few different regions.
This role provides end-to-end oversight of financial reporting, month-end closing, statutory audits, taxation, and financial due diligence activities. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in IFRS, sound professional judgment, and strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to navigate complex financial matters across multiple jurisdictions.
Financial Reporting
- Lead the preparation, review, and analysis of consolidated and entity-level financial statements, disclosures, and notes in full compliance with IFRS.
- Ensure financial reports are accurate, complete, and delivered within reporting timelines.
- Oversee the end-to-end month-end closing process across multiple entities.
- Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and closing adjustments to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with IFRS and internal policies.
- Perform periodic reviews of financial transactions and accounting treatments to ensure appropriate application of accounting standards.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify, investigate, and resolve accounting issues and discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Identify and drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control within the financial reporting function.
- Leverage technology and best practices to streamline workflows, and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and end-to-end process flows.
- Work closely with finance, legal, tax, and operations teams to ensure consistent and accurate application of accounting standards.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior team members on complex accounting matters.
- Lead internal and external audit engagements, ensuring timely preparation and submission of audit schedules and statutory deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and reporting requirements across jurisdictions.
- Manage, coach, and mentor team members, supporting both technical excellence and career development.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and professional growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree or professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- Minimum 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience, with a strong emphasis on financial reporting; experience in the automotive industry and/or Big Four firms is an added advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS and hands-on experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex accounting concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
- Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with ERP systems such as Oracle NetSuite is a plus.
