What you'll do:
As Finance Manager at this leading oil and gas services and manufacturing company in Senai, Johor, you will be entrusted with comprehensive responsibility over financial control functions at both country and group levels. * Perform monthly group consolidation activities and deliver timely financial reports to senior management according to established deadlines.
* Collaborate closely with Operations and other departments to align financial strategies with broader business objectives and support cross-functional initiatives.
* Prepare accurate management reports and provide additional analyses as requested by senior stakeholders to inform decision-making processes.
* Maintain strong banking relationships while arranging equity or debt financing as required by senior management for operational or capital needs.
* Forecast cash flow positions, monitor borrowing requirements, ensure sufficient funds are available for ongoing operations, and manage compliance with debt covenants.
* Lead the preparation of budgets and forecasts for relevant countries or entities; critically review operating plans for accuracy and alignment with business goals.
* Monitor actual performance against budgets/forecasts throughout the year, reporting variances to management along with clear explanations for deviations.
* Maintain documented systems of standard operating procedures; ensure robust internal controls are in place and identify opportunities for process improvements.
* Supervise finance staff by managing their performance, providing coaching as needed, overseeing customer/vendor record creation, annual audits, tax filings, and responding to internal audit requests.

* Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate budgets/forecasts; skilled at reviewing operating plans for completeness and conformance with business objectives.
* Proficiency in treasury functions including cash flow forecasting, banking relationship management, debt financing arrangements, interest expense minimisation, and compliance monitoring.
* Track record of maintaining robust internal controls through documented procedures; adept at identifying process improvement opportunities and implementing changes effectively.
* Experience supervising finance teams: capable of managing performance reviews, providing coaching support to staff members at various levels of experience.
* Excellent communication skills enabling effective collaboration across departments such as Operations; able to present complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
* Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities; comfortable preparing detailed analyses/reports on request for senior management or capital investment projects.
* Familiarity with statutory audit processes as well as annual tax return preparation/filing requirements for subsidiaries within a group structure.
