What you'll do:

As an Accounting and Tax Manager based in Selangor, you will be entrusted with overseeing group consolidation activities for multiple subsidiaries while upholding rigorous accounting standards.

• Coordinate group consolidation processes for approximately 8-10 subsidiaries, ensuring all financial data is accurately compiled and reported within set deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards by reviewing financial statements and implementing necessary updates or changes as required by evolving regulations.
• Take overall responsibility for the company’s tax function, covering direct, indirect, and withholding taxes, while providing guidance on complex tax matters.
• Ensure adequate provision of income tax and deferred taxation through careful analysis and regular review of financial records.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to coordinate and ensure the timely completion of annual reports in line with statutory requirements.
• Maintain the full set of accounts for the listed holding company, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
• Continuously review existing processes to identify opportunities for improving efficiency and effectiveness of internal controls within the finance function

What you bring:

To excel as an Accounting and Tax Manager in this organisation, your background should reflect proven experience in group consolidation within multi-subsidiary environments alongside comprehensive knowledge of accounting standards.

• Hold a degree in business or commerce with an accounting major from a recognised institution, demonstrating a solid academic foundation in finance principles.
• Be a Chartered Accountant affiliated with a recognised accountancy professional body or possess an equivalent qualification that meets industry standards.
• Have prior experience as an Assistant Manager or Senior Associate within one of the big five accounting firms, bringing valuable insights from leading industry practices.
• Demonstrate proficiency in using major accounting software such as SAP, JD Edwards, or Microsoft Dynamics to streamline financial operations effectively.
