What you'll do:
As Finance Manager based in Damansara, you will play an integral role in shaping the financial health of one of Malaysia’s most respected renewable energy organisations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will see you collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of accounting processes while upholding rigorous standards of accuracy in all statutory reporting. You will be instrumental in driving budgetary discipline through careful coordination of annual exercises and vigilant monitoring of actuals versus forecasts. In addition to managing complex tax compliance requirements both locally and internationally, you will provide valuable insights through detailed performance analysis that supports strategic decision-making at every level. * Oversee and manage all aspects of the Group's accounting and financial reporting functions, including annual statutory audits, drafting audited financial reports, and assisting with the preparation of the Group's Annual Report.
* Supervise the month-end closing process by ensuring timely completion of general ledger entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and production of profit and loss statements for accurate financial representation.
* Take full responsibility for the precise and prompt submission of monthly and quarterly management accounts to support informed decision-making by senior leadership.
* Coordinate with various divisions, departments, and personnel to facilitate the Group's comprehensive annual budgeting exercise, compiling and consolidating budgets while monitoring actual performance against approved targets for effective cost management.
* Ensure strict adherence to financial control procedures, limits of authority, and standard operating procedures across all group entities to maintain compliance and mitigate risk.
* Maintain overall accountability for the Group's financial reporting processes by ensuring ongoing compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), Bursa Malaysia Securities listing requirements, Securities Commission guidelines, Companies Act provisions, and other relevant statutory obligations.
* Manage the company's financial systems efficiently to support seamless day-to-day operations and long-term strategic objectives.
* Provide insightful commentary and analysis on company performance to management teams, enabling data-driven decisions that align with organisational goals.
* Oversee tax-related matters including timely monthly payments, final tax submissions, initial tax estimates (CP204/CP204A) for local and overseas subsidiaries, as well as reviewing annual tax computations and notes to accounts.
* Liaise effectively with internal tax departments or external agents on all tax matters such as year-end queries; review SST returns for assigned companies ensuring full compliance.

* Experience in external audit is highly regarded as it brings additional rigour to your approach towards statutory compliance and internal controls.
* Comprehensive understanding of financial management principles coupled with advanced analytical skills that enable you to interpret complex data sets accurately.
* Demonstrated knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), Bursa Malaysia Securities listing requirements, Securities Commission guidelines, Companies Act regulations, and related statutory obligations.
* Proven track record in managing end-to-end budgeting processes including compilation, consolidation, monitoring actuals against budgets for effective cost control.
* Hands-on experience overseeing month-end closings including general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations, P&L statement preparation ensuring timely delivery under tight deadlines.
* Strong interpersonal skills allowing you to collaborate effectively across multiple departments while maintaining high standards of integrity in all interactions.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously whilst remaining responsive under pressure; adept at meeting deadlines without compromising quality or accuracy.
* Familiarity with tax compliance processes such as monthly payments/submissions (CP204/CP204A), annual computations/reports for both local & overseas subsidiaries; experience liaising with internal/external tax advisors is advantageous.
