What you'll do:


As a Finance Manager based in Putrajaya within a prominent property development group, you will be entrusted with overseeing all aspects of financial accounting and reporting across multiple entities. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include ensuring the accuracy of management accounts submissions; reviewing key reconciliations; compiling essential data for audits; maintaining compliance with regulatory standards; monitoring budgets; conducting variance analyses; managing tax processes; leading audit preparations; compiling budgets; approving payments; supervising staff performance; delivering training on regulatory changes; streamlining financial processes; and ensuring compliance with HDA banking regulations. Success in this role requires meticulous attention to detail when handling complex financial data sets, proactive communication with both internal teams and external auditors or tax agents, effective time management to meet tight deadlines across multiple deliverables simultaneously, as well as an ability to foster knowledge sharing among colleagues. Your efforts will directly contribute to robust financial governance that supports strategic business decisions at the highest levels.


* Take full responsibility for the accurate and timely submission of monthly and quarterly management accounts for assigned companies, ensuring all financial data is presented clearly and precisely.
* Review and approve journal entries while ensuring all control accounts such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and bank reconciliations are balanced on a monthly basis.
* Compile information for internal audits and quarterly reporting while maintaining strict compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRSs), Sales and Service Tax (SST) regulations, group policies, tax laws, Companies Act requirements, and standard operating procedures.
* Monitor township budgets and profitability statements against actual performance to provide up-to-date insights for business planning purposes.
* Prepare detailed business reviews and variance analyses comparing budgeted figures to prior year results on a monthly or quarterly basis or as required by management.
* Oversee tax estimates and financial tax reviews by ensuring timely monthly payments, filing initial and revised tax estimates for local and overseas subsidiaries, reviewing annual tax computations, liaising with tax agents or internal departments on all related matters, and ensuring SST returns are compliant.
* Lead the annual audit process by coordinating with auditors during interim and year-end audits, preparing draft audited accounts, and serving as the main point of contact throughout the audit cycle.
* Compile township or annual budgets by gathering information from various business units while providing rolling forecasts, financial analysis, and strategic input to facilitate informed decision-making at the management level.
* Review and approve payment requests or fund transfers for assigned companies while monitoring the entire Accounts Payable cycle from invoice processing through to payment to ensure adherence to internal KPIs.
* Manage staff performance appraisals, provide training on updates regarding MFRSs/SST reporting guidelines, improve financial process flows to meet evolving business needs, and monitor HDA Bank balances for compliance with relevant rules.

* Possess a degree in Finance or hold a recognised professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or MIA which demonstrates your technical proficiency in accounting principles.
* Bring at least eight years of relevant experience in finance roles—ideally within the property development sector—showcasing your deep understanding of industry-specific challenges.
* Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel for complex data analysis tasks required in budgeting or variance review processes.
* Experience using IFCA system is highly desirable as it will enable you to quickly adapt to existing workflows within the organisation’s finance function.
* Exhibit strong analytical abilities coupled with effective problem-solving skills that allow you to interpret large volumes of financial data accurately under pressure.
* Showcase excellent interpersonal skills that make you an effective collaborator who can work dependably within teams while also being able to operate independently when needed.
