What you'll do:

As a Finance Controlling Manager you will play an integral part in overseeing the end-to-end financial operations for a significant business unit.

• Monitor, review, and report on key financial indicators to drive business performance while ensuring alignment with established financial frameworks such as SOP cycles, budget reviews, and forecasting processes.
• Lead monthly forecasting and planning activities by supporting S&OP meetings and providing insightful financial scenarios to key business partners.
• Streamline and automate financial processes by maintaining up-to-date standard operating procedures and supporting control documentation requirements.
• Collaborate closely with commercial and corporate finance teams as well as cross-functional shared services teams to identify operational improvements.
• Deliver timely and accurate financial statements including profit & loss accounts, cash flow reports, quarterly performance reviews, and ad hoc analyses using systems like SAP and BI tools.
• Provide guidance to the Corporate Finance team by conducting performance appraisals and fostering a high-performance culture focused on cost-consciousness.
• Manage internal and external audits by ensuring all financial reporting and documentation are completed accurately and within required timelines.
• Coordinate the resolution of reconciliation issues promptly to mitigate risks related to fraud or accounting errors.
• Oversee cash management activities including daily, weekly, and monthly cash forecasts while analysing trends to refine projections in collaboration with other departments.
• Drive system enhancements by implementing new tools that improve efficiency and visibility in cash management through proactive engagement with stakeholders.

What you bring:

To excel as a Finance Controlling Manager in this environment, you will bring substantial experience gained within complex multinational settings.

• A minimum of 7–9 years’ progressive experience within global MNCs or corporate finance environments demonstrating increasing responsibility over time.
• Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles along with practical knowledge of how changes in accounting standards impact business operations.
• Proficiency in finance systems such as BI/BPC and SAP or equivalent platforms enabling efficient data analysis and reporting.
• Demonstrated success in leading projects involving remote teams or partners while enhancing execution quality across diverse geographies.
• Outstanding command of English language skills—both written and verbal—to facilitate clear communication with stakeholders at all levels.
• Highly analytical mindset paired with meticulous attention to detail; able to proactively address challenges under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Strong awareness of risk factors affecting finance operations coupled with proven ability to design effective internal controls for compliance purposes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience) is required; professional qualifications such as CA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA are highly desirable.
• Experience managing internal/external audits including SOx compliance testing as well as handling audit queries from tax authorities or regulatory bodies.
• Track record of successfully implementing process improvements through system enhancements or automation initiatives.
