What you'll do:

As an Executive, Investment based in Iskandar Puteri, Johor, you will immerse yourself in a dynamic environment where your day-to-day responsibilities revolve around supporting high-value investment projects. Your role will involve evaluating business plans through rigorous financial analysis while coordinating with multiple stakeholders across government agencies, financial institutions, industry associations, and investors. * Coordinate the facilitation of investment projects from initial inquiry through implementation by engaging with investors and relevant government agencies to ensure seamless project execution.
* Review and assess detailed investment proposals, financial information, and business plans to provide comprehensive support for investment facilitation processes.
* Conduct thorough financial and commercial analyses including feasibility assessments and project evaluations to inform decision-making for new investments.
* Manage approvals, incentives, permits, and regulatory requirements by liaising with relevant authorities to streamline project progress.
* Support the development and facilitation of strategic investment initiatives under the region's Special Financial Zone (SFZ), collaborating with government agencies, financial institutions, industry associations, and other stakeholders.
* Handle enquiries and facilitate investment opportunities related to financial services, financial institutions, and other activities within the SFZ as required.
* Prepare briefing papers, reports, presentations, and other investment-related documentation for management review and stakeholder communication.
* Monitor the progress of ongoing investment projects by providing timely support to investors throughout each stage of the process.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with both local and foreign investors as well as government agencies, financial institutions, and industry partners to foster trust and collaboration.
* Participate actively in investment promotion activities including business meetings and official engagements as directed by management.

What you bring:

Your proven experience as an Executive, Investment will be evident through your deep understanding of corporate finance principles combined with hands-on exposure to merchant banking or financial advisory roles. You bring not only technical expertise but also strong interpersonal skills that allow you to connect effectively with investors from diverse backgrounds. Your analytical mindset enables you to conduct comprehensive feasibility studies while your attention to detail ensures accuracy in reviewing business plans or preparing reports. You are comfortable navigating complex regulatory environments thanks to your familiarity with approval processes across various authorities. Your ability to communicate professionally in multiple languages enhances your capacity for stakeholder engagement both locally and internationally. With at least five years’ experience in relevant fields such as corporate finance or investment promotion—and ideally holding recognised professional qualifications—you are well-equipped to contribute meaningfully towards the region's economic development agenda.

* Certified Financial Planner (CFP) qualification is highly preferred; professional qualifications such as CFA or ACCA or membership with Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) are considered advantageous.
* Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Banking, Business Administration or a related discipline is required for this role.
* Minimum five years of relevant working experience in corporate finance, merchant banking, financial services, investment banking, banking, financial advisory consulting or investment promotion is essential.
* Strong knowledge of financial analysis techniques including international finance principles, financial markets operations, cross-border investment strategies, investment assessment methodologies and commercial feasibility studies.
* Good understanding of end-to-end investment processes encompassing corporate finance practices, merchant banking procedures, financial services frameworks as well as economic development strategies.
* Excellent analytical skills paired with advanced report writing capabilities enable you to present findings clearly; proficiency in creating impactful presentations is vital.
* Professional communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia are necessary; additional language proficiency is considered an asset.
* Willingness to travel within Malaysia or overseas when required demonstrates flexibility for regional or international assignments.
