Corporate Finance Manager

Save job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Corporate Finance Manager to join a well-established organisation based in Bangsar. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on managing complex financial projects, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate exercises, and investor relations. The successful candidate will play a pivotal part in shaping the financial strategy of the group, working closely with both internal management and external professionals to ensure seamless execution of high-impact transactions. With a focus on collaboration, transparency, and professional growth, this position offers exposure to a wide range of responsibilities from feasibility studies to sustainability reporting. If you are looking for a role that values your expertise, encourages knowledge sharing, and supports your career development within a supportive team environment, this could be the next step in your professional journey. * Take ownership of end-to-end corporate finance activities including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic initiatives while collaborating with experienced professionals across the business. * Engage directly with stakeholders through effective investor relations management, ensuring clear communication via press releases, analyst briefings, and updates on key financial results. * Enjoy a collaborative workplace culture that values teamwork, integrity, and continuous learning while offering opportunities to contribute to sustainability reporting and annual report preparation.

What you'll do:

As Corporate Finance Manager, you will be entrusted with significant responsibility across a broad spectrum of financial activities. Your day-to-day work will involve managing critical projects such as mergers and acquisitions from inception through execution while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will collaborate extensively with both internal teams—including senior management—and external partners like auditors or legal counsel to drive successful outcomes. In addition to transaction-based work, you will lead efforts in investor relations by engaging stakeholders through regular communications and detailed analysis. Your expertise will also be instrumental in preparing key documents for annual reports and sustainability disclosures. By taking ownership of these diverse functions within the finance department, you will help shape strategic decisions that impact the entire organisation’s future direction.

  • Coordinate and assist in executing all aspects of the corporate finance function for the group, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate exercises, and ad-hoc assignments as required by senior management.
  • Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies, valuations, financial modelling, and due diligence processes related to various corporate exercises to support informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with internal management teams as well as external advisors such as auditors and legal professionals to ensure timely implementation of each corporate exercise.
  • Review reports from external professionals during M&A or other transactions; address any issues raised to facilitate smooth completion of these exercises.
  • Lead the investor relations function by conducting industry benchmarking analysis and competitor financial reviews to provide valuable insights for stakeholders.
  • Foster two-way communication with shareholders and analysts by managing queries and providing accurate information about company performance and strategy.
  • Oversee all corporate communication channels including preparing Bursa announcements, press releases regarding financial results or M&A activity, and maintaining updates on the corporate IR portal.
  • Organise analyst briefings by developing presentation decks and preparing Q&A materials for financial press interviews to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Prepare quarterly presentations for senior leadership meetings with a particular focus on financial performance metrics.
  • Take charge of sustainability reporting for the group by coordinating annual report statements such as Sustainability Statement, MDNA, Chairman’s Statement, Financial Highlights, and all finance-related sections.

What you bring:

To excel as Corporate Finance Manager in this role based in Bangsar, you will bring proven experience from previous positions where you have managed complex financial projects—ideally within leading accounting firms or large organisations. Your background should include hands-on involvement in mergers and acquisitions or similar high-stakes transactions along with strong technical proficiency in areas such as valuation techniques and financial modelling. Beyond technical skills, your interpersonal abilities will enable you to build trust-based relationships both internally among colleagues and externally with stakeholders such as investors or analysts. A keen eye for detail is essential given your responsibility for reviewing critical documentation; equally important is your commitment to upholding ethical standards throughout every aspect of your work. Your academic credentials should reflect advanced study in finance-related disciplines which underpin your practical expertise.

  • Demonstrated track record of commercial experience within a reputable accounting firm—preferably one of the Big 4—with exposure to complex transactions.
  • Minimum three years’ experience in a management capacity overseeing corporate finance or related functions within a sizeable organisation.
  • Ability to perform under pressure while consistently meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality or accuracy.
  • Commitment to being an enthusiastic team player who communicates effectively with colleagues at all levels as well as external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional analytical skills combined with meticulous attention to detail when handling sensitive financial data or preparing reports.
  • High level of personal integrity coupled with the ability to work independently when required while still contributing positively within a team setting.
  • Possession of at least a Professional Certificate, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent qualification.
