Business Controller

A Business Controller job has become available at a company in minerals and specialty materials industry based in Bangsar.

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Controller to join their team in Bangsar. This role offers an attractive salary range of RM180,000 to RM216,000 per annum. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the regional target, tracking against actual and outlook with the aim to drive performance. What you'll do:

As a Business Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing the regional target, tracking against actuals, and driving performance. You will be responsible for preparing and submitting financial statements, conducting cost analysis, fulfilling all reporting requirements from the region and group, as well as driving performance management throughout the region. Your ability to analyze financial performance and provide meaningful insights will be key to your success in this role.

* Manage closing (IFRS before local), audits and ICS process together with GBS Team
* Responsible for preparation and submission of financial statements (IFRS & local) and cost analysis
* Apply Group standards, policies and directives
* Fulfill all reporting requirements from region and Group
* Fully accountable to drive performance management throughout the region
* Analyze the financial performance of the region and provide meaningful analysis
* Reports in a timely manner to the Regional CFO and Regional Management about the financial performance of the Region along all KPI and including shortfalls and potential mitigation measures

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Business Controller position brings a wealth of experience in accounting and system development within an industrial environment. You have a University Degree or equivalent in Accounting or Business Administration, along with professional accountancy certifications such as ACCA or CIMA. Your familiarity with accounting for consolidated entities, cost accounting, budgeting combined with advanced IT skills make you an excellent fit for this role.

* University Degree or equivalent in Accounting or Business Administration
* Professional accountancy certification desired (e.g. ACCA/ CIMA)
* 10 to 15 years of relevant accounting and system development experience in industrial environment
* Familiarity with accounting for consolidated entities, cost accounting, budgeting
* Advanced IT skills in MS - Office, particularly Excel, and preferably in SAP
* Highly autonomous person with analytical thinking
