What you'll do:

• Execute and assist in month-end and year-end closing processes for accounts receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
• Oversee and manage comprehensive collection processes for both corporate and private events, maintaining clear communication with clients to ensure timely payments.
• Supervise daily cash and digital collections across all business outlets, monitoring reconciliation activities to guarantee accuracy and completeness of records.
• Prepare detailed aging reports and collection summaries on a regular basis for management review, supporting informed decision-making at all levels.
• Continuously identify opportunities to streamline collection workflows, implementing process improvements that minimise outstanding debts and enhance overall cash flow.
• Perform thorough account reconciliations by investigating discrepancies, identifying disputed receivables, and facilitating prompt resolution with relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams such as sales, operations, and customer service to ensure seamless coordination of collection activities across departments.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SST regulations and e-Invoicing requirements, ensuring compliance in all accounts receivable processes.
• Utilise accounting software such as AutoCount or similar platforms to manage large volumes of financial data efficiently and accurately.
• Support ad hoc finance projects as required by management, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to achieving organisational goals.

What you bring:

• Possess a Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline from a recognised institution which provides you with solid foundational knowledge of financial principles.
• Demonstrate at least five years of hands-on experience in accounts receivable or related finance functions within a fast-paced business environment.
• Showcase a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles as well as end-to-end AR processes that enable you to handle complex transactions confidently.
• Display working knowledge of SST regulations along with familiarity with e-Invoicing requirements relevant to Malaysian businesses.
• Exhibit advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including handling large datasets efficiently for reporting purposes.
• Bring practical experience using AutoCount or other widely adopted accounting software solutions; exposure to Power BI would be considered an added advantage but is not essential.
• Highlight strong analytical thinking coupled with effective communication skills that allow you to interpret data clearly and interact positively with colleagues at all levels.
• Demonstrate proven ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines simultaneously without compromising on quality or accuracy.
• Show evidence of being dependable when it comes to meeting targets while remaining sensitive to the needs of both internal teams and external clients.
