What you'll do:
As a PTP (Invoicing) Manager, you will be entrusted with overseeing every aspect of the invoice processing function within a dynamic shared service centre environment.
- Supervise the accurate entry and adjustment of invoices, debit notes, and credit memos to ensure timely processing and compliance with company policies.
- Oversee data entry into payable systems as required, maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail at all times.
- Ensure all invoices are coded correctly to general ledger accounts and VAT codes, upholding the necessary level of precision for financial reporting.
- Manage the processing of information and coding to facilitate seamless recording of journal entries in the general ledger system.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team by providing appropriate training, coaching sessions, and fair performance evaluations.
- Review and resolve any exceptions or discrepancies in invoice processing promptly to maintain work-flow continuity.
- Plan and organise team activities to consistently meet or exceed customer service expectations within agreed timelines.
- Provide guidance to invoice processors to ensure completeness and accuracy in all aspects of their work.
- Collaborate with in-country personnel and customer service teams to address issues as they arise, ensuring effective adoption of channel strategies.
- Maintain robust record retention practices for tax purposes in line with policy requirements, including tracking and reporting obligations.
What you bring:
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in finance roles with at least 2 years spent managing functional accounts payable teams within large organisations.
- Demonstrated expertise in invoice processing functions
- Experience delivering presentations to diverse audiences is considered advantageous.
- Proficiency with accounts payable technology platforms is highly regarded but not essential.
- A deep understanding of industry best practices related to accounts payable operations is expected.
- Exceptional customer service skills that enable you to build positive relationships both internally and externally.
- Proven ability to plan workloads effectively, assign tasks appropriately, and ensure strict deadlines are consistently met without compromising quality.
- Strong analytical abilities combined with excellent interpersonal skills allow you to address complex problems collaboratively.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are essential for engaging team members and stakeholders alike.
