Account Executive (AP)

Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Finance Executive with a focus on Accounts Payable. This role, based in the vibrant city of Petaling Jaya, offers an opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the financial health of the organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all invoices and payments are accurately recorded and updated, assisting with month-end closing, processing outgoing payments, and maintaining vendor files. What you'll do:

As a Finance Executive focusing on Accounts Payable, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the financial integrity of the company. You will handle everything from updating and recording invoices and payments to assisting with month-end closing. Your role will also involve processing outgoing payments on a monthly basis and maintaining vendor files. With your keen attention to detail, you'll ensure that all vendor payments are up-to-date. In addition to these responsibilities, you may also be tasked with additional duties as assigned by management.

• Ensure all invoices and payments are properly updated and recorded
• Ensure proper documentation and authorisation for all accounts
• Accurately post accounts charge codes
• Assist with month-end closing
• Process outgoing payments to trade and non-trade vendors on a monthly basis
• Maintain vendor files according to payment vouchers, invoices, debit notes, and credit notes
• Ensure vendor payments are up-to-date
• Perform any other tasks assigned by superiors or management from time to time

What you bring:

As our ideal Finance Executive (Accounts Payable), you bring a wealth of experience in accountancy. You have at least three years of experience in a similar role, ideally backed by a diploma in Accountancy or an equivalent qualification. Your familiarity with SAP/ERP software sets you apart from others. Your strong organisational skills enable you to manage multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising on accuracy or efficiency. Your excellent communication skills allow you to interact effectively with various stakeholders within the organisation.

• Possess at least a Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent qualification
• At least 3 years of working experience in a similar role
• Experience with SAP/ERP software is preferred
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
