Our client is seeking an Associate Director for Contracts, a role that perfectly blends business and law. This regional position working remotely offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic regional operations team covering Asia and Greater China.

Reviewing and negotiating commercial terms and conditions in contracts with clients.
Manage and understand risks associated with terms and adopting a practical problem-solving approach to issues that arise.

What you'll do:
As an Associate Director, Contracts, you will play a pivotal role in shaping decisions that protect and enrich lives around the world.
The primary responsibilities are:
Reviewing and negotiating contracts, local and cross border engagements, tenders and RFPs, particularly on commercial terms and conditions.
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders for fact-finding and negotiation purposes.
Supporting Global Risk Committee and Asia Risk Committee initiatives and projects such as Enterprise Risk Management and related risk mitigation measures.
Assisting with the creation of new contract templates and improving current templates to meet business needs.
Managing contract template changes across different jurisdictions (in Asia) and business lines.
Monitoring progress of global initiatives and contract implementation across Asia.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Associate Director, Contracts position brings a wealth of skills to the table.
You would possess the following:
Law degree and preferably called to the Bar, with good understanding of contracts/legal concepts.
Minimum of 5 - 8 years PQE in contract drafting, review and negotiations.
Ability to work independently (including in a remote work environment) and in a team.
Effective communication skills for liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to spot issues and gather further information as necessary to resolve issues.
Good contracts drafting and writing skills.
Strong commercial acumen.
