What you'll do: As a Software Quality Assurance Specialist based in Kuala Lumpur, you will play an integral role in supporting the full spectrum of quality assurance activities across multiple digital products.

• Support QA Vision and Strategy: Align with the Head of QA’s vision by adhering to best practices and contributing to the company’s strategic quality assurance goals.
• Collaborative Testing Processes: Work closely with QA Leads, team members, and stakeholders to ensure smooth end-to-end testing during project lifecycles and agile sprints.
• Proactive Requirements Analysis: Analyze project requirements early to identify risks or gaps in quality assurance delivery.
• Comprehensive Test Planning: Prepare detailed test analyses for optimal coverage from functional and user perspectives, focusing on superior user experience and retention.
• Design Diverse Test Cases: Create reusable test cases for various scenarios, including functional, regression, sanity, smoke, API, compatibility, integration, performance, disaster recovery testing for mobile and web applications.
• Test Automation: Automate test cases early with a focus on reusability and maintainability to support frequent regression cycles and releases.
• Documentation Maintenance: Keep documentation updated regularly, including test cases, scripts, QA materials, knowledge transfer documents, and status reports.
• DevOps Support: Assist with code merges, deployments, basic DevOps tasks, and maintain test environments during release activities.
• Efficient Test Execution: Execute planned test cases effectively within agreed timelines while ensuring comprehensive coverage.

• Defect Management & UAT Support: Log defects promptly, follow through until resolution, perform defect analysis studies to improve strategies, assist with UAT phases, and provide post-production support as needed.

What you bring: To excel as a Software Quality Assurance Specialist in this forward-thinking organisation, you will bring proven experience in manual and automated software testing across diverse platforms. Your educational background equips you with foundational technical knowledge while your practical skills allow you to design effective test strategies tailored to complex digital products.

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience performing software testing on mobile platforms (iOS & Android), cross-browser environments, and web applications; fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply if they demonstrate relevant skills.
• A minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or an equivalent field provides a solid foundation for success in this role.
• Comfortable working within an agile environment where priorities may shift rapidly; adaptability is essential for thriving here.
• Comprehensive understanding of software testing methodologies including functional testing principles as well as regression strategies.
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium or Appium alongside scripting languages like Java or Python enhances your effectiveness in automating repetitive tasks.
• Familiarity with Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) or Test Driven Development (TDD) frameworks is advantageous for aligning tests closely with business requirements.
• Proficiency using industry-standard tools such as Jira for issue tracking; Postman for API validation; JMeter for performance testing; Git/Jenkins for version control/CI-CD pipelines; cloud platform tools add further value.
• ISTQB-CTFL certification would be considered an added advantage but is not required.
