Senior, Automation Software Tester (Java)

This company is seeking a seasoned Senior Automation Software Tester with a strong background in Java. This role is integral to the team, responsible for developing and executing test strategies, writing test cases, and performing manual testing. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions.

You will develop and execute test strategies, write comprehensive test cases, and perform rigorous manual testing. Your expertise in designing and implementing tests will be crucial in identifying system malfunctions at all stages of software development. Your keen eye for detail will enable you to track key quality assurance metrics effectively.

• Developing and executing test strategy.
• Writing test cases and performing manual testing and automation testing prectices
• Designing and implementing tests. Debugging and defining corrective actions.
• Reviewing system requirements.
• Tracking quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.
• Monitoring all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions.

What you bring: The ideal candidate for the Senior Automation Software Tester position brings a wealth of experience in software quality assurance. With a minimum of 5 - 10 years' experience under your belt, you have developed a strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in software quality assurance
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Experience with BDD test design and writing test cases with Gherkin syntax
• Experience with automation testing of UI and API tests using Selenium, Postman, and Rest Assured
• Experience with Atlassian development tools, i.e., Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Bamboo
• Degree in Computer Science with programming or relevant field. Excellent communication, writing and teamwork skills.
