This company is seeking a highly skilled Selenium Tester to join their dynamic team. You will be responsible for analysing product features, creating customised quality checks, composing and automating test procedures and standards. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the quality of products prior to their implementation, identifying potential problems and leading a team to achieve overall goals and objectives.
What you'll do: As a Selenium Tester, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest level of quality assurance for our client's products. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include identifying gaps in requirements and designs, testing software against major architectural requirements, detecting bugs, preparing defect reports, troubleshooting errors, streamlining testing procedures, and leading your team effectively.
- Identify requirement and design gaps plus key details arising from product and technical specification
- Test and prove that the software meets major architectural requirements
- Ensure the quality of the product and system as a whole
- Develop, write and automate tests for software validation in an agile, fast-paced environment
- Detect bug issues and software inefficiencies
- Prepare file defect reports and report test progress with concise summary
- Troubleshoot any errors and streamline the testing procedures
- Lead a team with the ability to assess prioritisation and delegation to the team members
What you bring: The ideal candidate for the Selenium Tester position brings extensive experience in software testing within an agile/waterfall environment. You have a good understanding of agile software development, testing methods, QA standards as well as project management.
- Extensive experience in software testing or similar role in an agile/waterfall, fast-paced environment
- Good understanding of agile software development, testing methods and QA standards
- Experience with project management, SDLC processes, Agile processes and overall IT processes
- Exposure to SQL/database concepts
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Certification Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) is preferred
- Experience with testing tools including Apache, Selenium, JMeter, TestStand or LabView
