Senior Test Development Engineer

A renowned manufacturing company in the manufacturing and production industry in Penang is recruiting for a Senior Test Development Engineer job. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, this is a role for an engineer who is a subject matter expert in their field.

About the Senior Test Development Engineer Role:
In this key position, the Senior Test Development Engineer develops new test concepts and tracks the implementation of the derived requirements in the development.

Key Responsibilities:

• To develop new test solution
• To invent new test systems platform for new product platform including:
• Test Software development
• Test Hardware development
• Sourcing of test hardware and software available in market
• Provide cost calculation on test system planning for new business and new platform product during RFQ stage, planning include:
• Estimate of test time
• Required test process to ensure coverage
• Required Test hardware and software and to estimate the respective cost
• Develop TEF7 system Resources that will give the way all members of TEF7 perform their respective duties. E.g. Preventive Maintenance, analysis tool of breakdown causes. Test System concept, test setup concept, test jig mechanical design
• Work with a team of test engineer in developing new technologies in Test and Alignment in the Test Systems and liaise with Development on the design of the product and production engineer on production problem such as to reduce test VT and cost with maximum test coverage.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic in Engineering or equivalent
• Knowhow on the C++ programming and ICT trouble shooting
• Able to work as team in transferring technical know-how
• Ability to design new test concept/platform base on product and market need
• Ability to contribute ideas in technical discussion with product design team
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
• Team work spirit and positive attitude
