What you'll do: Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve developing robust integration strategies tailored to each client's needs while acting as the central point of contact for all integration-related communications. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams—including technical leads, business analysts, solution architects, vendors, and client representatives—to ensure that every aspect of the integration process runs smoothly. By guiding critical activities such as system testing planning and interface validation, you will help ensure operational readiness for new or upgraded core banking systems.
- Define comprehensive integration strategies, architectures, and approaches that align closely with project objectives and overall programme timelines, ensuring seamless delivery across all phases.
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients, core banking vendors, third-party providers, and internal teams for all matters related to integration, fostering clear communication and effective collaboration.
- Oversee the complete end-to-end integration lifecycle between core banking platforms and supporting applications such as payments systems, CRM solutions, digital channels, and various third-party services.
- Coordinate with technical leads, business analysts, and solution architects to ensure consistent, reliable integration across multiple workstreams while maintaining alignment with business goals.
- Guide planning activities for system integration testing (SIT/UAT), interface validation processes, and operational readiness assessments to guarantee robust system performance upon deployment.
- Identify potential integration risks and dependencies at early stages of the project lifecycle, facilitating timely mitigation strategies through close cooperation with relevant stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership teams and governance forums regarding integration progress, challenges encountered, and resolutions implemented throughout the project duration.
- Ensure strict adherence to established integration standards, best practices, and compliance requirements at every stage of the project lifecycle to maintain quality and regulatory alignment.
What you bring: To excel as an Integration Lead Core Banking you will bring substantial experience managing complex integrations within financial services environments—ideally spanning both traditional banks and fintechs. Your background should include hands-on involvement with modern core banking platforms as well as deep familiarity with industry-standard integration frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field is required for this position.
- More than eight years of experience in core system integration or similar roles involving system implementation and project management within financial services environments.
- Demonstrated expertise with next-generation core system platforms as well as advanced integration frameworks including API-led architectures, middleware solutions, and messaging layers.
- Comprehensive understanding of modern core system architectures encompassing cloud-enabled infrastructures, modular designs, and scalable solutions suitable for large enterprises.
- In-depth knowledge of integration patterns such as data flows, synchronisation strategies, interface management techniques, and best practices for secure data exchange.
- Extensive familiarity with financial services core modules covering areas like CASA accounts, deposits management, loans processing, payments operations, customer information handling, treasury functions—and associated regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., CCRIS, STATsmart).
- Experience working with insurance modules (policy administration, underwriting processes) or treasury operations (trade booking/event/settlement) would be highly advantageous.
- Professional certifications such as TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture credentials are expected; relevant cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP) are desirable; Agile/SAFe/ITIL certifications are considered beneficial additions.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills demonstrated by coordinating multiple vendors/internal teams/senior client leaders on complex projects requiring careful alignment across diverse interests.
- Excellent communication abilities combined with strategic planning acumen; proven problem-solving mindset; strong sense of ownership/accountability; ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
