Delivery Lead (Software)

This role requires a strong technical background combined with Agile leadership skills to enhance team performance, streamline delivery processes, and ensure adherence to best development practices. You will bridge the gap between business and technology, collaborating with Product Owners, stakeholders, and development teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing applications.

What you'll do: As a Delivery Lead for Software Solutions, you will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions by leading and mentoring a Scrum development team. You will guide your team in adopting Scrum principles and using efficient tools and practices. Your role will involve close collaboration with the Product Owner to refine and prioritize the product backlog. You will also drive continuous integration, test automation, and deployment automation to streamline delivery processes.

• Guide the Product Owner and development team in adopting Scrum principles.
• Provide technical mentorship to the team.
• Lead Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner to refine and prioritize the product backlog.
• Drive continuous integration, test automation, and deployment automation.
• Monitor story estimation accuracy and refine estimation techniques.
• Ensure the Definition of Done (DoD) is consistently followed.
• Actively resolve development roadblocks.

What you bring: The ideal candidate for this Delivery Lead position brings a wealth of experience in software development. With at least 10 years of hands-on experience before transitioning into a leadership role, you have developed an extensive knowledge base that includes Java, C++, Node.js as well as OOP, design patterns, and software architecture.

• Bachelor's degree. Scrum Master Certificate either PSM or CSM is good to have.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in software development before transitioning into a leadership role.
• Familiarity in Java, C++, and Node.js with a solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, and software architecture.
• Experience conducting code reviews, enforcing coding standards, and improving software quality through best practices. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment strategies.
• Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or GCP, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or other Agile frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to coach teams and Product Owners in backlog management, sprint planning, and Agile best practices.
• Experience in database management with relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases, including query optimization.
• Proven track record of successfully leading teams in delivering complex software solutions while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
