This company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Integration Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to design, develop, and manage API endpoints that support system integration between internal and external systems. You will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance of the API management platform at all times.
What you'll do: As a Lead Integration Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, configuring, and onboarding of API endpoints that support system integration between internal and external systems. You will work closely with other teams to ensure all systems are integrated to meet business requirements.
- Prepare functional and test data, monitor and support testing activities which include API performance and code optimization.
- Integrate 3rd party services through APIs using standard integration methodology to deliver quality results on time.
- Determine the design and framework conversion of the integration meets the technical requirement.
- Define and drive integration strategies with principal and lead architect within defined deadlines.
- Communicate and collaborate with relevant teams to understand requirements using defined architecture frameworks.
- Create and maintain API specification and documentation. Perform and verify integration points test based on assigned tasks related to support and project activities.
- Carry out investigation and provide initial assessment to help users understand issues. Plan, coordinate, and provide necessary documents until approval in adherence to Change Management process.
What you bring: As a Lead Integration Engineer, you bring a wealth of experience in API management platforms or similar integration platforms. With over 5 years of experience designing, developing, implementing RESTful or GraphQL API with JSON or XML for systems integration, you are well-versed in programming and scripting using Unix, Batch, Ruby, and Python.
- Ability to analyze and design system requirements
- Experience in creating RAML or OpenAPI specifications as API contracts for development
- Understanding of Dataweave scripts
- Experience deploying APIs to Cloudhub, Runtime Fabric, On-prem workers etc.
- Practice of API-Led Connectivity
- Experience creating/managing basic CI/CD Pipelines (Maven Plugin, Jenkins, Bamboo etc.)
- In-depth understanding of Agile Software Development Life Cycle
- Mulesoft Certified Developer Level 1 or similar certification is advantageous
