This company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Developer to join their Digital & Technology department. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and maintaining application software that enables the company to achieve its objectives and goals. The successful candidate will also guide other developers where needed, with a strong focus on analysing existing IT application software and designing innovative solutions.
What you'll do: As a Lead Developer, your primary responsibility will be to contribute significantly to the design, development, and maintenance of application software. You will work closely with various stakeholders including product owners, project managers, designers, and the broader Digital & Technology department.
- Support the Product Owner in estimating feature effort, prioritization and program increment planning
- Assist the Project Manager and Scrum Master in reporting on the progress of applications development against schedule and budget
- Work closely with product managers/owners, designers, and other stakeholders
- Integrate systems, APIs, and third-party services. Support setting objectives and key results aligned to business and technology outcomes
- Maintain solution documentation as appropriate
- Provide any 3rd level support postproduction that may be required
What you bring: The ideal candidate for the Lead Developer position brings a wealth of experience in application software development. Your expertise extends to .net proficiency with specific experience in ASP.net web application development.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, software engineering or related discipline.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in application software development and configuration of Freight system like Cargowise, Transport Management system.
- 5+ years proficiency in .Net, ASP.net web application development.
- Experienced in Oracle, SQL, MySql Server or similar relational database packages.
- Familiarity with code management, automated build and deployment systems such as Jira, Jenkins, Maven, GoCD, GIT and SVN.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
