An exciting MES Specialist job in a multinational, large investment, manufacturing and production company to be based in Kulim, Kedah has just become available. Reporting directly to the Senior IT Manager, this is a role for a MES Specialist to collect, analyse, develop, document and communicate business requirements, and work with various IT teams to develop and deliver solutions.

About the MES Specialist Role:
This MES Specialist is responsible for providing support and user training on selected systems (for example SFC, ERP and local applications). You will also participate in IT projects in various capacities, including project coordination and management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with community to explore opportunities for the use of IT solutions
• Gather and document business requirements
• Work with various IT teams to develop and deliver IT solutions
• Respond to system problems by analysing the issue and determining the next course of action
• Provide system training to end users
• Participate in and lead various IT projects as required

The successful candidate must have at least four years' experience in MES support and knowledge in programming and software.

Key Requirements:

• Good analytical, technical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Good communication, documentation (including flow charting) and presentation skills
• Leadership and teamwork skills
• Good ability to plan projects and tasks
• MES Support also knowledge in Programming and Software
• Skill set in C#, Java Script or VB language is an added advantage
• Understanding of SCM, shop floor control and ERP applications
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle concepts and practices
• Understanding of interrelations between IT components (software, OS, databases, network, servers, etc.)
