About the Application Specialist (LabVantage LIMS) Role:

Key Responsibilities:

• Join diverse DevOps teams focused on creating solutions for chemists and biologists in research, collaborating closely with external suppliers
• Provide guidance and support to partners on complex IT application issues and assist with laboratory process digitisation and automation
• Actively participate in developing, maintaining, and supporting Java applications for research partners and their solution ecosystem
• Offer support, diagnose issues, and deliver solutions through telephone and remote access to Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), along with conducting product training
• Occasionally assist implementation teams in configuring customer environments, deploying new application builds, and contributing to application testing

To succeed in this Application Specialist (LabVantage LIMS) role, you will need to have experience in Labvantage LIMS.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of three years of lab IT system support experience, specifically with LabVantage LIMS
• Experience in LIMS implementation and laboratory instrument interface support
• Proficiency in gathering lab owner requirements and connecting them to LabVantage LIMS functionality
• Skilled in modifying technical configurations and business processes to meet project/customer needs
• Familiarity with Java, SQL/Oracle databases, ticketing tools (e.g., JIRA), and ITIL support processes; proactive issue resolution and documentation
