An established private university in Penang is seeking a Senior Software Developer. In this job , you will be involved in the education and training business and the full software development life cycle to maintain and create the system for the organisation.

About the Senior Software Developer Role:
In this role, you will engage with business functions to identify and advocate business process improvement opportunities using IT solutions. The person should collect, analyse, develop, document, and communicate business requirements, and work with various IT teams to develop and deliver solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the team in requirement gathering, system analysis and design, coding, testing and maintaining for new system development
• Design and develop new programmes and integrating processes to ensure compliance to the university’s requirements
• Coordinate and execute systems testing to ensure the quality of developed and delivered IT capabilities
• Analyse business requirements, processes and development needs for the purpose of streamlining and improving the operations within the university
• Support cross-functional areas to resolve issues and manage assigned projects from time to time
• Provide support to users on technical and process and assist users during User Acceptance Test (UAT)

To succeed in this Senior Software Developer job, you will need to possess the experience in software development and technical support especially in ASP.net and SQL.

Key Requirements:

• At least a diploma or bachelor’s degree in a computer related field or equivalent with emphasis in software application and development
• Minimum of three years of work experience with strong proficiency in ASP.NET, SQL, Stored Procedures, and JavaScript
• Experience with multi-tier application, database and web development systems integration
• Knowledge of Application Programming Interface (API), project management and has experience in developing Business Intelligence (BI) Solutions and dashboard is an added advantage
• Candidate must be a critical thinker with strong analytical and solution-oriented abilities and is able to work independently
