An exciting MES Data Specialist Engineer job in a world-leading manufacturing and production company to be based in Kulim has just become available. This role is involved in digitalising the electronics manufacturing plants at an operations level. As part of an international team you will evaluate, test, and implement new software tools.

About the MES Data Specialist Engineer Role:
As part of the geographical expansion and to support the growth in the Asian market, this role will be responsible for connecting machines and systems to control, collect and analyse data. You will always be thinking ahead and bringing new ideas to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and test new software tools to identify strengths and weaknesses
• Analyse data connections to and from machine, databases, and other data sources
• Involved in software development to program the functions and tools to integrate partially or non-digitalised machines and tools to high level systems
• Implement new software tools on the shop floor worldwide
• Train and help key-user and operators to understand and use the new tools
• Bring in new ideas and realise with the international team. Familiar with the MES system with the production shop floor, carry out the development and customisation on the manufacturing application

To succeed in the MES Data Specialist Engineer role, you must have at least two years's' experiences as on-site technical support engineer focusing on project experience in the SAP environment – as an experienced key user and infrastructure support.

Key Requirements:

• Diploma/degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any relevant areas of study
• Excellent skills in analysing complex connections, ability and high will to learn new things
• Programming expertise, preferred in C# or Python (cli and gui), open to learn and adapt quickly to new languages
• English fluent in writing and speaking
• Team-oriented, self-organised and open minded to new technologies
• Basic understanding of standard network protocols, data structures and data bases (e.g. tcp/ip, mqtt, json, xml, msql, mysql)
