About the Software Engineering Consultant Role:
The company is well known in the world and needs no introduction. You will oversee and manage application development for product solutions. Your role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, including technology team, third-party vendors, and business leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee application development, implementation, and changes, ensuring cost-effective, high-quality delivery
• Align projects with IT strategy, manage adherence to software standards, and optimise system delivery within the company architecture framework
• Prioritise business demands based on value and resources with business unit heads. Influence senior leadership and managers for consistent solution delivery. Manage vendor and technology team relationships for flexible delivery
• Create strategic plans aligning with IT and business priorities for the portfolio. Build a high-performing team, shape cost-efficient, agile culture, and establish policies for IT excellence
• Lead and nurture a skilled team, fostering growth through clear goals, effective learning, and process improvement

To succeed in this role, you will need at least six years of work experience in Product Management/Software Engineering environment with at least three years of supervisory experience.

Key Requirements:

• Six or more years in product management/software engineering, with three to four years in a supervisory role
• Expertise in project execution, communication, analytical skills; insurance domain knowledge is preferred
• Proficient in Java, web app development, and client-server applications
• Strong expertise in various web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, Spring, Hibernate, and more
• Familiarity with databases (SQL Server, Sybase, Oracle) and tools like BitBucket, Jira, Jenkins, Azure, Docker, and Webmethod
