Application Architect

An attractive Application Architect job has become available at a reputable bank located in Kuala Lumpur. The Application Architect will work with people responsible for architectural communication in all aspects of IT services to work on a highly complex IT landscape.

About the Application Architect Role:
The Application Architect is responsible for the definition, initiation and design of architecture in projects/programmes internally.

Key Requirements:

• Apply standard methodologies when creating new architecture, programmes and applications or when maintaining existing ones
• Act as technical lead of development teams on issues of performance, tools, and standards
• Communicate with all stakeholders such as software engineers, management, clients and vendors, they must convey technical language to other stakeholders often in non-technical terms
• Review business context for solutions to company challenges as well as defining the vision and requirements for the solution
• Be part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued

To succeed in this Application Architect role, you should be a hands-on tech enthusiast, someone who enjoys building and developing solutions architecture for applications.

Key Requirements:

• At least seven years of experience in technology consulting, enterprise and solutions architecture and architectural frameworks in Java/J2ee technologies
• At least three years of experience in microservices architecture, messaging (MQ, Kafka)
• Nice to have experience in cloud, and infrastructure set-up
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the desire to share technical knowledge and information with others
