About the Senior Java Developer Role:
Due to expansion, the Senior Java Developer, who reports to the Technical Lead, works closely with their UK colleagues on joint projects in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support, develop and maintain an enterprise class web application architected using Java, Spring and Hibernate with a rich user interface written in Java using GWT
• As an experienced Java Developer, you work in an environment that consists of the following: Java 1.8, Spring 4.x (DI, Tx, Security, Batch, MVC), Hibernate 5.x, Activiti, GWT, Gin, Camel, CFX, Quartz, Fuse ESB, Maven, TestNG, Mockito, DbUnit. The IDE we use is IntelliJ so experience with this is an advantage
• Use the Atlassian development suite; Jira, Confluence, Bamboo and Bitbucket

To succeed in this Senor Java Developer role, you must be a hands-on tech enthusiast, someone who enjoys building and developing solutions from scratch.

Key Requirements:

• Efficient design of enterprise quality software, using established design patterns
• Proactive involvement in code reviews, testing and bug fixing
• Continuous improvement of existing code base
• Minimum of five years’ experience in similar positions
• Strong Java, web application and XML experience
• Experience with MSSQL, MySQL, or other similar relational database
• Past success in web application development
• Spring and Hibernate frameworks
